Made in America Month

National Made in America Month was started in 1985 by former President Ronald Reagan to recognize and celebrate the excellence of American-made products.
Purchasing made in America products are also good for the environment because:
- there is less pollution and a lower carbon footprint because products do not ship thousands of miles across the ocean
- manufacturers in the U.S. have stricter regulations regarding the environment and manufacturing products here in this country
Purchasing made in America product this month (and all year) helps the U.S. economy by supporting:
- American manufacturers that produce products and create good jobs and employ people here in the U.S.
- American retailers, small and large, neighborhood brick and mortar as well as online, sell products made in the America which helps strengthen communities across the country
- American workers that make the products here in this country and helping to secure their jobs
- American businesses involved in getting the product to the consumer, including manufacturing, warehousing, shipping, retail, so that there are more Made in America products available here all year for all of us
